What is the Electrical Safety Authority?

ESA is a stand-alone, financially self-sustaining not-for-profit corporation responsible for public electrical safety in Ontario as designated by Ontario Regulation 89/99. click here for more info

What is a ECRA/ESA Electrical Contractor Licence?

This is a licence issued to an electrical contracting business authorizing them to engage in the business of carrying out Electrical work anywhere in Ontario. Horwood Electrical Services Inc. have a valid ECRA/ESA Electrical Contractor Licence.

Who Should Apply for an Electrical Contractor Licence?

Every electrical contracting business engaged in performing electrical work covered under the Electrical Safety Code is required to hold a valid Electrical Contractor Licence (or Provisional Electrical Contractor Licence) which became effective as of January 1, 2007.
